Operations Associate; Path to Trader

Do you see yourself at a trading desk in the near future? This Operations Associate opportunity is at a Boutique L/S 6B AUMs hedge fund in NYC will get you there in no time! The Hedge Fund wants to groom the Operations Associate to take on an Execution Trader role.

This opportunity starts as a generalist operations role sitting at the center of the fund's day-to-day infrastructure. You will own trade support, reconciliation, and data workflows while collaborating closely with portfolio management, finance, and prime brokerage counter parties. Because of our size, you will see and touch every part of the operating model, this is an ideal position for someone who wants breadth, accountability, and a clear line of sight to the investment team.

• Monitor and confirm equity and options trade execution across long and short books; resolve breaks with prime brokers and counter parties.
• Manage post-trade lifecycle including allocations, affirmations, and settlement tracking across DTC and OCC.
• Oversee corporate actions processing — dividends, splits, tender offers, rights issuances — ensuring timely elections and accurate P&L impact.
• Perform daily position, cash, and NAV reconciliation between Enfusion and prime broker statements; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the integrity of security master data in Enfusion including options contract terms, underlie rs, and expiration schedules.
• Support month-end close process in coordination with the fund administrator and CFO.

• Administer Bloomberg workflows including port monitoring, BVAL pricing overrides, and custom functions supporting portfolio analytics.
• Assist in maintaining and improving operational data feeds between Bloomberg, Enfusion, and internal reporting tools.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce operational risk across the trade lifecycle.
• Serve as a primary operational contact for prime brokerage, fund administration, and custodian relationships.
• Support onboarding of new counter parties and brokers including KYC documentation and account opening.
• Monitor margin, financing, and stock loan activity; escalate anomalies to PM and CFO.

• Assist with Form PF, 13F, and 13H filings in conjunction with the CCO and external counsel.
• Maintain books and records in accordance with SEC and CFTC requirements as applicable.
