Associate, Life Sciences Lending

Responsibilities

• Analyzing company valuations using various accounting and business specific assumptions;
• Analyzing company financial statements;
• Developing detailed financial models with projections;
• Developing comprehensive investment thesis and memos;
• Presenting investment ideas to portfolio managers;
• Participating in deal structuring, legal documentation and negotiations;
• Monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments;
• Assessing company capital structures and reviewing related legal documents;
• Conducting interviews with industry experts and company management;
• Performing qualitative business and industry due diligence;
• Assessing strengths and weaknesses of various businesses;
• Performing comparable company analyses.

• At least 2-3 years of experience as an analyst or associate with a top investment bank within investment banking or leveraged finance;
• Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills;
• Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance;
• Healthcare industry experience or exposure helpful, but not essential.

• Outstanding initiative and a strong work ethic;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism.

Bachelor’s degree from a top university required.

$150,000 – $160,000, plus discretionary bonus incentives, comprehensive benefits package, and flexible work arrangement. Base salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, and prior training and education.
