Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Financial Analyst-Decision Support. In this role, under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Decision Support, Strategy & Value Improvement, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the production of financial analyses that assist in monitoring the hospital’s financial performance. The role will involve providing analytical support for the system-wide Value Based Management initiative, enhancing existing system-wide financial dashboards, and developing new dashboards that support strategic initiatives.
The candidate should have experience with a decision support system or healthcare related reporting, cost accounting, data reconciliation, data analysis, and visualization and be comfortable handling large data sets and possess strong communication skills.
- Perform a wide portfolio of complex analyses including financial, operational, clinical, policy, and benchmark reporting.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the internal costing system (EPSi) and run accurate EPSi reports to support stakeholder decisions.
- Conduct financial analyses to identify cost, revenue, and quality improvement opportunities and provide decision support for key strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain system-wide Tableau dashboards spanning financial reporting, value opportunities, and department performance.
- Package and summarize analytical findings for senior leadership with clear recommendations.
- Create and maintain Alteryx or Tableau Prep flows to automate processes, implement controls, and reduce redundancies.
- Proactively communicate to management of arising issues and barriers to meet timelines.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and improve data integrity and process flow.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related business discipline.
- 3-5 years of related experience in healthcare, not-for-profit, or accounting.
- Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong foundation in financial analysis and decision support reporting.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
- Experience with a decision support or cost accounting system.

Pay TransparencyThe salary range for this role is $84,577.92 - $98,500.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive compensation or benefits.
