Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst, Credit Analyst
We are seeking a Healthcare Credit Analyst to support a specialized Healthcare Commercial Banking team. This role is responsible for underwriting, portfolio management, annual reviews, and credit analysis for healthcare clients, including physician practices, medical groups, outpatient facilities, healthcare service providers, dental practices, specialty clinics, and other healthcare-related businesses.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial credit skills combined with direct healthcare banking, healthcare lending, or healthcare credit analysis experience. This individual will work closely with Relationship Managers to evaluate credit opportunities, monitor portfolio performance, and support the continued growth of the healthcare banking division.
Job Requirements- Analyze and underwrite commercial credit requests for healthcare-related borrowers.
- Review business and personal financial statements, tax returns, cash flow reports, collateral, and supporting loan documentation.
- Prepare credit memorandums, underwriting recommendations, and loan presentation packages.
- Conduct annual reviews, portfolio monitoring, modification requests, and ongoing borrower risk assessments.
- Evaluate repayment capacity, industry trends, and overall credit risk within healthcare organizations.
- Assist with portfolio management activities, including covenant tracking and financial statement monitoring.
- Research healthcare industry segments, market trends, and lending opportunities to support business growth initiatives.
- Support Relationship Managers in managing existing client relationships and identifying opportunities to deepen relationships.
- Participate in client meetings to gather financial and operational information.
- Analyze healthcare-specific financial metrics and operational performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate loan files and portfolio records while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Credit, Portfolio Management, and Relationship Management teams to support portfolio growth and credit quality.
- Stay current on healthcare industry developments, reimbursement trends, and regulatory changes impacting borrowers.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management experience.
- Direct experience underwriting or managing healthcare industry relationships.
- Strong understanding of healthcare business models, financial statements, reimbursement structures, and industry-specific credit risks.
- Experience analyzing commercial financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and borrowing structures.
- Experience preparing credit memorandums and underwriting recommendations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced commercial banking environment.
- Willingness to complete formal credit training if required.
