Director, Credit Analyst – Banks (New York)
Credit Sights seeks a seasoned credit analyst to lead issuer and sector coverage within the US Financials sector.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain financial models and databases for issuer coverage.
- Monitor news, financial statements and market events to identify credit risks and opportunities.
- Write research reports, earnings notes, news flow, credit events and thematic studies.
- Collaborate with senior analysts on fundamental credit analysis of the US Financials sector.
- Publish research on a portfolio of credits and market themes.
- Engage with clients and bond issuers; assist in client meetings and sales presentations.
- Coordinate with colleagues in New York, London and Singapore to establish market outlook and sector views.
- At least six years conducting credit research in the US Financials sector with a record of publications.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Excellent written communication; ability to produce clear, timely research.
- Extensive issuer and investor interaction experience.
- Strong work ethic; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree; CFA designation viewed favorably.
- Well‑known market recognition for US Financials research through widely read publications.
- Experience leading fundamental credit analysis teams.
- Can‑do attitude to publish research quickly.
- Broad distribution network to share insights industry‑wide.
- Independent research platform and client‑centric focus.

Base salary range $160,000 to $180,000 per year, plus potential commission, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives and other benefits.
