Director, Credit Analyst – Banks (New York)

Credit Sights seeks a seasoned credit analyst to lead issuer and sector coverage within the US Financials sector.

• Build and maintain financial models and databases for issuer coverage.
• Monitor news, financial statements and market events to identify credit risks and opportunities.
• Write research reports, earnings notes, news flow, credit events and thematic studies.
• Collaborate with senior analysts on fundamental credit analysis of the US Financials sector.
• Publish research on a portfolio of credits and market themes.
• Engage with clients and bond issuers; assist in client meetings and sales presentations.
• Coordinate with colleagues in New York, London and Singapore to establish market outlook and sector views.

• At least six years conducting credit research in the US Financials sector with a record of publications.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication; ability to produce clear, timely research.
• Extensive issuer and investor interaction experience.
• Strong work ethic; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree; CFA designation viewed favorably.

• Well‑known market recognition for US Financials research through widely read publications.
• Experience leading fundamental credit analysis teams.
• Can‑do attitude to publish research quickly.

Base salary range $160,000 to $180,000 per year, plus potential commission, discretionary bonuses, long‑term incentives and other benefits.
