About The Role

A well-established community savings bank in Queens is seeking an experienced Mortgage Servicing Assistant Manager to serve as the primary support to the Mortgage Servicing Manager. This role oversees and administers mortgage accounts from closing through final satisfaction, managing key servicing functions including insurance tracking, tax payments, mortgage satisfactions, returned payments, mortgage verifications, and document management. Works closely with the institution's legal team and ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Mortgage Servicing Manager

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the Mortgage Servicing Manager and step in when unavailable
  • Quality control: review daily reports to identify errors or inconsistencies
  • Manage all loans in Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Subpoenas, Stipulation Agreements, Referee figures, and Short Sale
  • Backup signatory for CEMA documents and other legal documents as needed
  • Verify and sign Summons & Complaints and Proof of Claims
  • Manage escalated borrower issues and respond to Credit Disputes
  • Review annual Escrow Analysis and Surplus Analysis
  • Monitor monthly billing on new loans sent to tax servicer
  • Review monthly Adjustable Mortgage Loans, Balloon Loans, and Prime rates
  • Oversee year-end work and additional duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 8–10 years of mortgage servicing or directly relevant experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with E-Oscar a plus
  • Ability to work diplomatically with borrowers, staff, and internal stakeholders

This is an office-based position, 5 days a week.
