Job Summary
The Analyst will be part of the US DCM team responsible for the origination and structuring of debt capital market transactions for BBVA’s U.S. client portfolio. Individual responsibilities include analysis of bond market trends, preparation of internal reporting, transaction execution, administration, and creation of marketing material and proposals for existing and prospective U.S. clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing weekly market updates for internal and external clients, discussing bond market conditions and trends across the U.S. and Europe.
- Identify appropriate pricing parameters for issuers relative to market and peer groups.
- Prepare and maintain the debt capital markets pricing analysis database.
- Contribute to the preparation of debt capital markets proposals and marketing materials.
- Support the preparation of internal credit proposals, involving detailed credit and market analysis.
- Manage the internal deal process through closing and maintain deal files.
- Coordinate and work in conjunction with different departments within BBVA in the U.S. and Europe to meet responsibilities.
- Employment eligibility to work with BBVA in the U.S. is required; the company will not sponsor visas.
- Degree in Economics, Finance or related field.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of bank and bond market principles.
- Financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and DCF skills.
- Significant experience and comfort with PowerPoint and Excel.
- Fluent in English.
- FINRA SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Internship experience in investment banking/capital markets.
- 1-2 years prior working experience in finance or related field.
- Previous DCM experience.
- Bloomberg terminal experience.
Base salary range: $105,000 - $110,000.
