Position: Associate/VP on the US ABS and USPP
Location: New York

Overview

The US Debt Syndicate team is seeking an Associate/VP to work with the Head of US ABS and USPP on (primarily) US structured and corporate private placements, as well as US ABS. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on all areas of transaction execution and pitching, including the development of syndication strategies and pricing analyses, garnering and organizing investor feedback for potential and live transactions, and being an integral part of pre‑marketing, marketing, allocation, pricing and closing activities.

The candidate will keep up with market trends and serve as a trusted representative for the private placement and ABS products during internal and external meetings and calls. The role requires effective liaison across multiple teams within the firm and the ability to multi‑task while remaining organized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the broader Debt Syndicate team, and NY‑based and International CACIB Securitization banking teams to support US private placement and ABS new‑issue transactions (from pitching to execution phases).
  • Cover all areas of transaction execution: pre‑marketing activities, marketing activities, allocation and pricing.
  • Liaise with the US Credit Sales team to gather investor feedback on live new‑issue transactions and transaction opportunities.
  • Help develop and expand relationships with key investor accounts and market participants to develop current market views, trends and investor considerations.
  • Participate in all activities related to team preparation for industry conferences, including client outreach, setting up investor & issuer meetings and holding the master meeting schedule, and preparing marketing materials.
  • Prepare syndication strategies and pricing opinions.
  • Work with the broader syndicate team to ensure that administrative items around the execution of transactions are done correctly and timely.
  • Keep up with private placement and ABS and broader capital markets to develop views, observe trends, and identify areas of opportunity for further development.
  • Maintain and further develop the team’s investor and product databases for ongoing best practices.
  • Provide back‑up across all the desk activities and across products when needed.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in banking, capital markets, or a similar function.
  • Experience in USPP and/or ABS syndication; broader syndicate experience is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi‑task while staying organized.
  • Ability to liaise across multiple local and international teams within the firm.
  • Series 7 and Series 63 licenses or ability to obtain them within six months of starting the role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Salary Range

$150‑225k
