Job Duties:

Associate, Banker-Industry Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Create and analyze complex financial models and perform scenario analyses to examine the effects of proposed client alternatives. Use mathematical models and statistical techniques to analyze data and prepare reports, charts and tables summarizing analyses and research results. Work with industry coverage group and interact and coordinate with both clients and other groups within the Firm.

Organize and prepare presentations that explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Day-to-day interaction with senior and junior bankers related to the preparation of financial exhibits, marketing documents and information memoranda for clients. Interact with client executives, working with other bankers to help guide clients in their financial decisions. Develop and strengthen client relationships by participating in our advisory teams and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures/carve outs, and capital raises, typically for middle market TMT companies.

Coordinate with teams across divisions to prepare client marketing or sales memoranda.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Industrial Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include three (3) years of experience with: creating financial models including leveraged buyout models, company operating models, three statement operating models, discounted cash flow models, public trading comparables, and precedent transactions;

utilizing Capital IQ, Pitch Book, 451 Research, Preqin, Tracxn and Alpha Sense, and to fulfill various client deliverables such as market updates and evaluation of potential M&A transactions and capital market transactions; coordinating with teams across the firm to provide financial advice to private and publicly listed TMT companies on complex financial transactions; developing financial model outputs and complex presentations related to various topics including business strategy and corporate finance that require Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and PowerPoint;

overseeing multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines; analyzing regulatory filings, including 8

Ks, 10

Ks, and proxies, and Wall Street analyst research reports; and performing due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions.

Salary

Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $175,000 - $203,000.
