We are seeking a qualified Investment Officer to manage assets for Single Family Office clients. The role involves building and managing client portfolios, asset allocation, manager selection, risk management, private markets co‑investment and alternative investments, client discovery and reporting, administrative operations, and partnership with internal teams.
Responsibilities- Build and manage client portfolios for Single Family Office clients.
- Define asset allocation and manager selection, risk management, and monitoring.
- Source, analyze and advise on private markets co‑investment and other alternative investments.
- Engage with clients conduct discovery, draft investment policy statements and provide quarterly reporting.
- Ensure smooth functioning of administrative and operational activities including custodians, trading, reporting and client cash flows.
- Partner with internal advisors and consultants to acquire new clients and raise assets.
- Work with internal research teams to deliver market and portfolio updates.
- Prepare portfolio allocation and performance reports for client investment committee presentations.
- 5‑10years of investment‑related experience servicing individuals and families in wealth management or investment consulting.
- Experience in alternative investments, especially private equity co‑investments.
- Knowledge of investment wealth‑management platforms: managed account platforms, mutual funds, ETFs, separate accounts and alternatives.
- Understanding of global capital markets and technical expertise across asset classes.
- Firm grasp of portfolio management concepts: modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, construction, manager selection, risk management and performance attribution.
- Experience with alternative investment asset classes and concentrated equity positions preferred.
- Understanding of UHNW planning techniques and strategies preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills; detail‑oriented and multi‑tasking.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive, hard‑working with strong professional accountability.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Graduate degree, CFA, CAIA and other professional designations preferred.
- FINRA Series7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses required or willingness to obtain within 120days of hire.
Expected base pay ranges between $115,000 and $205,000 per year, plus commission, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and Morgan Stanley‑sponsored benefit programs.
