The Banking Associate is a professional in banking who plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, on the teller line or via the platform.
- Open new and close existing personal deposit accounts, debit and credit card issues, andmobile and online banking services.
- Provide end‑to‑end advice and consultative support to build trust with educational content and tools.
- Use TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and attract and retain customers.
- Identify and promote products, services, or refer customers to the appropriate team member or internal partner.
- Manage wait times by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings and host appointments to see experts.
- Perform lead management activities, including creation and management of self‑generated leads, campaign leads, outbound calls, and SMS outreach.
- Adhere to all compliance, risk, and control policies; complete job‑specific and regulatory training; and maintain accurate records of action plans.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer‑facing experience (volunteer, education, military, or any customer service role).
- Proven customer service skills.
- Teller experience preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, and consistent.
- Effective problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Time‑management, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
- Sound judgment in decision making and risk assessment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Notary License is preferred.
