Finance Acctg Lead Analyst - VP

Responsibilities

This position supports the Corporate Functions Controller with various accounting processes across businesses.

• Equity Investment Accounting and Reporting
• Lead and direct controls, accuracies, reporting requirements, and compliance for equity investments including Citi Ventures and other portfolios.
• Legal entity management, including input and updates in Citi systems such as CLEMS, CLEMS EI, and the Citi Investment Platform.
• Lead various internal and external reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness across systems in relation to reporting requirements.
• Monthly and/or quarterly financial statement and balance sheet reviews.
• Balance sheet account ownership and oversight of E‑recon functions.
• Respond to accounting questions and inquiries, implement policy changes, identify opportunities, lead transformation projects (particularly AI‑based opportunities), drive process and control standardization, and develop improved monitoring controls.
• Partner with Risk and Control teams to identify significant operational risks, assess effectiveness of key controls, and address design or execution weaknesses.

• Bachelor’s Degree required; CPA or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of finance and accounting experience in a global organization.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and business judgment skills with strong attention to quality and detail.
• Self‑starter who can work independently, is flexible, and handles multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to management.
• Relationship skills and ability to partner with multiple businesses and influence at all levels.
• Proficiency in PC skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to handle large data sets and work with new systems.
