Operations Manager

A leading alternative investment platform is seeking an Operations Manager to join its growing Real Estate Credit team. This individual will play a critical role supporting a diverse portfolio of real estate credit investments and will serve as a key operational partner across investment, finance, treasury, accounting, and asset management teams.

The position offers broad exposure across the full investment lifecycle, including deal closings, loan servicing, cash management, reconciliations, process improvement initiatives, and portfolio oversight. • Serve as the primary operational contact for a portfolio of real estate credit investments from closing through repayment.
• Manage loan‑related activities including fundings, draw requests, amendments, interest processing, fee calculations, and paydowns.
• Coordinate operational execution of new investments, refinance, restructurings, and portfolio events.
• Review and validate borrower activity, agent statements, cash movements, and investment records.
• Oversee reserve activity, delayed draw facilities, and ongoing loan maintenance.
• Perform and review cash, position, and balance reconciliations across multiple systems and counter parties.
• Partner closely with investment professionals, treasury, accounting, legal, and external service providers.
• Supervise and review work completed by junior and offshore resources while maintaining strong operational controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance scalability, and reduce operational risk.
• Support audit, compliance, reporting, and special projects related to platform growth and new investment structures.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience within loan operations, investment operations, fund administration, private credit, or related environments.
• Strong understanding of loan lifecycle management, interest calculations, loan documentation, and credit operations.
• Experience supporting complex debt structures, including delayed draw facilities and floating‑rate loans.
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience reviewing the work of junior professionals or offshore teams.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

• Exposure to real estate credit strategies including bridge lending, construction lending, mezzanine debt, or preferred equity. Additionally, private credit outside of real estate is also being considered.
• Familiarity with portfolio accounting and investment management systems.
• Experience working directly with loan agents, servicers, administrators, and banking counter parties.
• Understanding of operational controls, audits, and compliance processes within an asset management environment.
