We are seeking an Analyst to join our Municipal Research Team, which is based in New York. The candidate will be involved in maintaining surveillance on municipal bond issuer and market performance data, and for assisting the identification of trends that can be used in issuer‑level, sector‑level, and market strategy research. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the municipal data and chart libraries and will be expected to learn the main fundamental credit considerations of key sectors and issuers.

How You’ll Make An Impact- Interpret and analyze financial statements and issuer disclosure documents.
- Apply, maintain, and revise AI tools to extract and analyze issuer and market surveillance models.
- Monitor and interpret bond and other capital market movements.
- Prepare presentation materials for clients and attend client meetings.
- Have the flexibility to contribute to reports over the weekend.
- Contribute to the heavy schedule of analysis and report writing.
- Highly organized, with a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
- Educated to a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial markets.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Comfort using frontier AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent).
- Some knowledge of accounting and financial analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience analyzing municipal issuer credit or municipal market experience.
- Degree in STEM, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and/or Fact Set.
- Hands‑on Claude/GPT, Bloomberg API/BQL and/or Python experience.
- A passion for financial markets and a curiosity for understanding the mechanics of capital markets.
- Capability to produce high-quality outputs under pressure.
