Location: New York
Summer Analyst – Corporate Banking & Global Credit
We are seeking Summer Analysts to support the Corporate Banking and Global Credit teams ideal candidate is interested in capital markets, maintains a strong academic record, and will graduate in Spring 2028 or December 2027.
Responsibilities- Support 10+ Corporate Banking industry verticals throughout the credit origination, execution, and portfolio management cycle.
- Participate in due diligence for new lending transactions by analyzing company filings, financial statements, diligence reports, and equity/credit research, and by attending management presentations and diligence calls.
- Assist with the preparation of internal credit presentations and related submission documentation, including detailed written credit analyses and integrated financial models.
- Analyze companies’ business models, financial projections, deal structures, industry dynamics, and investment merits in collaboration with peers from Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Risk Management, and other internal partners.
- Support senior team members on ad‑hoc and recurring initiatives such as portfolio management, administration, reporting, pipeline management, annual budgeting, and other special projects.
- Liaise with back and middle office functions to set up transactions on internal systems.
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program focusing on Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Graduating in Spring 2028 or December 2027.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage dynamic priorities and tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Genuine interest in capital markets, finance, and banking.
- Intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Minimum of one relevant internship experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Basic understanding of loan and capital markets products.
- Develop deep credit, structuring, and execution skills across multiple industry verticals.
- Play an integral part in a dynamic team with strong deal flow and a collegial work environment.
- Gain direct involvement in marquee M&A, LBO, acquisition, and related transactions.
- Build relationships with industry and product partners and learn about RBC’s full product suite.
