Overview
Wilmington Trust is seeking a Wealth Management Senior Associate to join its Family Wealth Division
, which serves the unique needs of Wilmington Trust’s largest and most complicated High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. The candidate will provide advanced legal research, estate plan analysis, and strategic wealth planning support
. This role works closely with senior wealth leadership and advisors to deliver thoughtful, customized, and client-focused solutions across trusts and estates, tax, and family law-related matters.
- Conduct in-depth legal research related to trusts & estates, tax, and matrimonial/divorce law
- Draft and assist with presentations, articles, and other educational content for delivery to top professional audiences
- Review, interpret, and summarize estate planning and legal documents
- Prepare legal case summaries, research analyses, and client-facing materials
- Support Wealth Advisors in developing and delivering solutions for complex client needs
- Participate in client meetings and collaborate with internal partners to enhance client relationships
- Support sales initiatives, special projects, and client events
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory considerations impacting wealth management
- Uphold risk management and regulatory standards while promoting an inclusive, client-first culture
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank/ Wilmington Trust brand.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of financial services client-facing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint emphasis) and modern AI productivity tools
- Legal research or paralegal experience
- Trust or wealth management experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- JD (Juris Doctor) strongly preferred
