Banking and Commercial Finance Associate – NYC

Position Overview

Thompson Coburn is seeking a Banking and Commercial Finance Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its New York office. This position will be primarily lender focused in the representation of banks, funds and other providers of credit in a variety of financing transactions, including cash‑flow and asset‑based lending transactions.

Managing complex transactions, resolving challenges, and providing tailored solutions to clients in a fast‑paced environment. The role involves working within a team environment and utilizing strong commercial finance structure knowledge.

• 4+ years of experience in banking and commercial finance.
• Strong understanding of commercial finance structures and issues.
• Excellent communication, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional academic achievement.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

The salary range for this position in our New York office is $220,000–$290,000. Actual salary may vary based on relevant skills, training, and other job‑related factors. This range is part of Thompson Coburn’s total compensation and benefits package for associates, which includes productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
