Carlyle's 2-Year Analyst Program within the Institutional Sales Platform offers a rigorous and immersive entry point into the world of alternative investment fundraising. As a key member of the sales and investor relations team, the Analyst will play a meaningful role in supporting the relationship management function across Carlyle's three investment segments:
Global Private Equity, Global Private Credit, and Investment Solutions.
This role provides a blend of strategic exposure and operational execution, supporting fundraising campaigns, investor engagement efforts, and market intelligence gathering. Analysts will work closely with senior team members to coordinate investor outreach, track pipeline activity, and ensure seamless delivery of client materials. With access to high-profile fundraising processes and sophisticated institutional clients, the Analyst will gain firsthand experience working at the intersection of product, relationship management, and investor strategy.
The role will leverage AI technologies to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and drive execution of key responsibilities with greater efficiency and impact. While AI is a powerful enabler, it does not replace strategic thinking; human insight and judgment will remain essential.
Primary Responsibilities- Monitor and distribute market news, fund intelligence, and investor updates to support daily decision-making by Relationship Managers
- Support Relationship Managers on strategic fundraising projects, ensuring thoughtful execution and timely delivery.
- Liaise with Product Specialist teams to coordinate responses to investor inquiries and follow-up items.
- Track fundraising pipelines from prospect through commitment across investment vehicles.
- Maintain and review external communication lists and data room permissions for live fund raises.
- Conduct research on institutional investors to assess mandates, historical engagement, and strategic fit.
- Prepare customized investor presentations, fact sheets, and pitch materials.
- Coordinate and document investor meetings, ensuring consistent updates to CRM and internal trackers.
- Develop briefing materials for roadshows and LP meetings, tailored to investor-specific preferences, drawing on AI to personalize insights and messaging efficiently.
- Conduct competitive and peer fund research to support positioning efforts.
- Assist in managing the execution of major fundraising campaigns across product verticals.
- Create target lists for key industry events and track investor interactions before and after conferences.
