Location: New York
A number of leading New York finance teams are continuing to hire at the mid-level, with demand focused on leveraged finance, private credit and fund finance work.
This is a targeted market. Firms are looking for lawyers who can demonstrate strong exposure to complex, sponsor-side transactions, typically gained within a top-tier Australian, UK or international practice.
For those who fit that profile, opportunities do arise. Australian-qualified lawyers can also benefit from the E-3 visa route, which can assist with timing where there is alignment on both sides.
We would be interested to hear from lawyers who:
- have 3–5 years’ PQE
- are currently working within a leading finance team
- have experience in leveraged finance, private credit or fund finance
- are open to a move to New York and understand the level of competition involved
