Senior Tax Planner

Client:
Well-Known Wealth Management Organization

Location: Midtown Manhattan

Pay: $175,000 + Fully Paid For Benefits (Negotiable)

Office Policy: 5 days/week in office

• Compliance: Complete and file federal and state income tax returns for individuals.
• Research: Conduct in-depth tax research to stay current with evolving laws and regulations.
• Project Management: Create process flows and monitor tax return milestones in coordination with external preparation partners.
• Documentation: Manage client files, organize work papers, and maintain lead sheets.
• Advisory: Effectively communicate tax planning strategies and return results directly to clients.

• Credentials: CPA, EA, JD, or equivalent demonstrated tax expertise is required. Additional certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in tax compliance or preparation with a proven track record of managing complex responsibilities.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of complex individual tax matters, including:
  • Foreign income and FBAR reporting.
  • Partnership K-1 matters.
  • State tax credits and reciprocity.
  • Real estate reporting.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional time management skills to prioritize multiple clients and meet strict filing deadlines.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with professional tax software (e.g., Lacerte, Pro Connect) and cloud-based productivity suites.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
