Moelis Private Capital Advisory (PCA) is a global business that provides strategic advisory and distribution to private fund sponsors, including primary fundraising, tailored capital raise solutions, and secondary market advisory. PCA delivers strategic, customized solutions across private equity foundations, buyout, growth, real assets, special situations, and sector‑specific strategies. The Secondary Advisory team focuses on advising financial sponsors and institutional investors on liquidity solutions across the private capital universe.
PositionDescription
Associate position in the credit secondary market, covering multi‑asset continuation vehicles, tender offers, structured preferred equity solutions, NAV loans, and other financing solutions for sponsors and portfolio companies.
Responsibilities- Perform due diligence on asset‑level credit risk and fund valuation mechanics.
- Develop financial models for continuation vehicles, NAV facilities, and other structured solutions.
- Prepare offering documents and other transaction materials.
- Manage investor outreach and diligence for credit and secondary mandates.
- Conduct market research on private credit and secondary market trends.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating transaction terms.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities in private capital markets.
- 1-3 years of direct credit experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, secondaries advisory, or investment banking with direct transaction exposure.
- Understanding of the private equity and secondaries industry.
- Highly motivated, strong desire to learn.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to think creatively to solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organized, good judgment and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
USD $175,000-$225,000.
