Senior Portfolio Advisor LATAM

The Senior Portfolio Advisor is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their job and the business. Recognized subject matter expert within one area. Strong commercial awareness is necessary. The role requires advanced judgment and the ability to conduct in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop innovative solutions.

They are expected to think beyond existing solutions and significantly impact the function and business through strategic decision making.

• The Advisor will be responsible for identifying short- and long-term investment opportunities and global markets for CPB investors in the region and for presenting, commenting and writing about such opportunities in diverse forums.
• The role will report to the Global Chief Investment Strategist, provide surveillance of emerging macroeconomic and political developments across the region, and work with Citi Research analysts and product specialists to identify individual investment opportunities across fixed income, equities and currency markets.
• Represent the team's global macroeconomic views in client meetings throughout the region and express these views clearly and concisely.
• Define and present to the sales force CPB's Regional Views in consultation with Citi Research regional analysts and local market units.
• Provide regional input to the Global Investments Committee.
• Write periodic regional view papers.
• Coordinate the successful delivery of GIC's message in the region.
• Transmit Global Investment Committee views to the field and to CPB clients.
• Work with the Investments Lab to identify asset allocation gaps and with product specialists to define strategies to close such gaps.
• Lead the regional discussion of implementation strategies and action plans for CPB global themes.
• Participate actively in the region's sales and research calls.
• Coordinate successful rollout of CPB Global Outlook.
• Work closely with the RIH, IC Team Leaders and Product Heads to help them understand and implement the firm's market views.
• Contribute periodically to Quadrant and other CPB publications.
• Participate in sales calls with clients and prospects.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, ethical judgment, and report control issues transparently.

• 15+ years of experience.
• Strong quantitative, written and presentation skills; ability to work in team and individual creative settings.
• Strong communication skills, including full Spanish speaking.
• US Only:
  Securities Industry Exam, S7 & S66 (SIE is a prerequisite to the S7).

• Bachelor's/University degree; master’s degree preferred.
