Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex financial models for companies and/or their assets; conduct valuation analyses to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, financings and other transactions.
- Lead the preparation of transaction‑related documents such as offering memoranda and investor presentations; manage due diligence processes and analyze financial statements.
- Coordinate with legal, tax and other advisory teams and work with senior officers to develop and maintain client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and pitch tailored solutions.
- Conduct in‑depth industry and market analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide sector‑specific insights that inform strategic decisions of clients.
- Participate in structuring deals, advising clients on optimal capital structures, financing alternatives and investment strategies aligned with financial and operational goals.
- Manage and mentor analysts by providing detailed guidance, feedback and credit and exposure information as appropriate.
- Possibly work on a telecommuting/hybrid schedule within a commutable distance, per Citi policies.
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or related field, with 2 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, Senior Analyst, Quantitative Analysis Program Analyst or related position involving financial valuation, analysis and modeling in the financial services industry; OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience.
- Full span of experience includes: developing and maintaining complex financial models and performing valuation techniques; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for building models and transaction documents; use of Bloomberg and Fact Set for real‑time financial data and in‑depth company analyses.
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage information flow and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in enterprise‑level transaction execution, including IPOs, M&A and financing.
- Proficiency with financial modeling software and data sources such as Bloomberg and Fact Set.
- Capability to provide credit and exposure information to analysts, as appropriate.
$200,000 to $225,000
