Loan Operations Specialist

Overview

Whitecap Search is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Credit Operations Analyst. This role involves asset servicing, cash and position reconciliations, and daily interactions with various financial institutions and partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in loan servicing and a strong understanding of the public loan market.

• Asset servicing including security master maintenance, reviewing credit agreements, monitoring and booking all investment activity, and wire processing, paying and allocating investment related expenses.
• Cash and position reconciliations.
• Daily interaction with custodian banks, trustees, and prime brokers.
• Daily interaction with asset management, borrowers, partners, and outsourced service providers.
• Assist in yearly audit confirmation process.
• Participate in various projects across the business.
• Provide backup to other Credit Fund Operation staff supporting wire transfers, trade settlements, and other business activities of the fund.

• 2-4 years of loan servicing/agency experience a must.
• An understanding of the public loan market, specifically settlement processes for par, distressed, and LMA loans.
• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with all other MS Office products.
• Ability to work both individually and within a team environment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts.
• Experience with Wall Street Office is a plus.
