Overview
Prepare financial statements, maintain strong general ledger, and month-end close. The CFO is responsible for day-to-day financial management, including overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing financial statements, conducting budget analysis, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. Work with outside CPA firms on audits and taxes. Maintain strong banking relationships and work with banks on financing. The CFO will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day financial management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Perform budget analysis, journal entries, and bank reconciliations; lead month-end close processes and ensure accuracy of the general ledger.
- Coordinate with outside CPA firms on audits and taxes; manage relationships with banks for financing and maintain strong banking relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Present financial report analysis and oversight to Board or senior management and act as a resource to senior management as an extension of the management team.
- Support strategic financial planning, forecasting, and financial analysis, including audit, ethics, and handling confidential information with discretion.
- Present financial information clearly to management and the Board; ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and internal policies.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively.
- BA in Accounting; CPA a plus.
