Job DescriptionA global diversified enterprise is seeking a Vice President – Divisional Accounting & Finance to provide leadership across accounting, financial oversight, M&A integration, subsidiary governance, and strategic finance initiatives.
This highly visible leadership role partners closely with executive leadership, operating divisions, and subsidiary management teams to oversee financial reporting, risk management, acquisition integration, and operational performance across a complex portfolio of businesses.
The position offers significant exposure to executive leadership, board-level interaction, and strategic business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead accounting and financial oversight activities across multiple operating divisions and affiliated entities
- Review and approve significant accounting transactions and financial analyses
- Oversee financial performance monitoring and business reviews across a diverse portfolio
M&A & Integration
- Support acquisition activity from an accounting and finance perspective
- Lead post-acquisition integration initiatives
- Review opening balance sheets and purchase accounting analyses
- Coordinate valuation and purchase price allocation activities
- Partner with legal, finance, and external advisors during transactions
- Oversee divisional financial close and consolidation activities
- Partner with corporate accounting and financial reporting teams
- Support management reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
- Monitor financial performance and risks across subsidiary and affiliate entities
- Perform financial reviews using a risk-based approach
- Evaluate internal controls and financial governance processes
- Support executive leadership with business and financial recommendations
- Lead and develop accounting and finance professionals
- Drive process improvement and strategic finance initiatives
- Support transformation, growth, and operational excellence projects
- Partner with executive leadership on long-term business strategy
- CPA required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 15–25 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Strong experience with:
- M&A Purchase Accounting
- Consolidations
- Internal Controls
- Strategic Finance
- Experience overseeing multiple entities, business units, or subsidiaries
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel domestically as needed
- Experience with in multinational, diversified, industrial, manufacturing, trading, distribution, or holding company environments preferred
