Job Summary
A Manager in the Financial Services Tax practice will advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs, manage tax obligations, and optimize business outcomes. Responsibilities include providing strategic tax consulting, analyzing business and industry trends, and delivering clear recommendations to support clients’ decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on local and international tax matters, including tax structuring, pricing implications, and deal-level tax effects.
- Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, working capital, and profit sharing.
- Help clients navigate complex national and international tax environments, stringent capital requirements, and operational tax risk management.
- Develop, implement, and advocate tax solutions that address changing industry regulations.
- Build consensus, provide coaching, and develop personal feedback for colleagues to support continuous improvement.
- Analyze complex proposals, use multiple data sources, prepare qualifying recommendations, and support decision‑making with data insights.
- Use research methods such as Westlaw, RIA, and CCH, and tax tools like Corptax and One Source.
- Manage engagements, prepare concise accurate deliverables, and balance project economics while mitigating unforeseen issues.
- Lead automation, digitization, and data‑centric modeling to enhance tax service delivery.
- Participate in client discussions, communicate firm services, and negotiate pricing and contractual terms.
- Maintain and monitor team workloads, fostering a positive environment while respecting work‑life balance.
- Drive technology‑enabled tax advising, focusing on digitization, automation, and increased efficiency.
- Collaborate with financial technology (Fin Tech) clients on platforms such as lending, digital banking, payments, crypto, blockchain, insurance, and real estate.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or related field).
- Minimum 4years of work experience in tax, accounting, or related fields.
- CPA, Bar membership, or other tax/finance‑specific credentials preferred.
Preferred Knowledge &
Skills:
- Proven record of success in multinational or publicly traded U.S. companies tax consulting and reporting.
- Experience with tax automation, digitization, data‑modelling, and visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and client‑service skills.
- Ability to develop point‑of‑view on industry trends and provide innovative solutions.
- Proficiency in tax provision and compliance software (e.g., Corptax, One Source).
- Leadership experience in managing teams and ensuring quality deliverables.
Up to 20% travel may be required.
Compensation$99,000 - $266,000 annually (dependent on skills, experience and location). All hires receive an annual discretionary bonus. Eligible for 401(k), medical, dental, vision, holiday pay, vacation, personal and family sick leave, and other benefits.
