Job Title

Real Estate – Portfolio Management (Insights & Reporting), Senior Associate

Overview

Blackstone is a global leader in real‑estate investing, managing $315billion of investor capital. The Real‑Estate portfolio management team in New York serves as the central hub for synthesizing and reporting on market and portfolio information across all sectors, strategies, and regions, providing a single, unified source of insights for leadership, investors, and cross‑functional partners.

Responsibilities
  • Track and analyze portfolio performance, activity, and positioning across all sectors and regions globally; source and synthesize data from real‑estate markets, macroeconomic trends, capital markets, and current events to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc materials—investor communications, portfolio exposure and holdings analyses, briefing documents, presentations, and reporting packages—that distill portfolio themes, sector trends, and market developments.
  • Develop centralized talking points and briefing notes on recurring topics and real‑time market developments that support internal leadership discussions, external communications, fundraising, and product positioning.
  • Partner with Asset Management, Acquisitions, Finance, Investor Relations, Shareholder Relations, Marketing, Public Affairs, portfolio companies, and regional Portfolio Management teams to ensure materials reflect the latest information and perspectives.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to portfolio positioning, market analysis, and broader business priorities as they arise.
Qualifications
  • 5+years of professional experience in a real‑estate‑related role.
  • Background in real‑estate, investment banking, consulting, investor relations, finance, or real‑estate private equity preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of real‑estate investment fundamentals, including sector‑level metrics and economic concepts.
  • Analytical and quantitative acumen to translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crafting concise and compelling materials for senior audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, engaging comfortably with senior leaders and collaborating across functions, geographies, and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent work streams, reprioritizing quickly, and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, self‑starter who thrives in fast‑moving, dynamic environments where responsibilities shift regularly.
  • Sound judgment and independence, operating effectively with limited direction.
  • Detail‑oriented, resourceful, and intellectually curious.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to learn and grow within a high‑impact team.
Additional Requirements
  • Depending on the position, you may be required to obtain certain securities licenses if you are in a client‑facing role and/or if you are engaged in marketing Blackstone funds, supervising or training securities‑licensed employees, structuring or creating Blackstone funds/products, or advising on marketing plans prepared by a sales team.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Expected annual base salary range: $175,000–$200,000 (actual pay within that range depends on experience and qualifications).
  • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, FSA).
  • Paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) plan, discretionary bonuses, and potential equity and incentive compensation at Blackstone’s discretion.
