Loan Operations Associate

Our client, a global asset management firm with $100B+ AUM is seeking a Loan Operations Associate to join their credit team, supporting the full lifecycle of broadly syndicated loan (BSL) investments. This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of trading, legal, and finance, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple closings simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage end-to-end closing and settlement of BSL trades including par and distressed loans
• Coordinate with counter parties, agents, and custodians to ensure timely funding and settlement
• Track and manage trade commitments, assignment agreements, and closing checklists
• Liaise with legal counsel on credit agreements, amendment consents, and transfer documentation
• Ensure LSTA documentation is accurate and executed in line with trade economics
• Process and reconcile loan lifecycle events including paydowns, draws, rollovers, PIK, and rate resets
• Reconcile positions and cash between internal systems and agent/custodian records
• Monitor and resolve settlement fails, funding breaks, and position discrepancies
• Track unfunded commitments, revolvers, and delayed draw term loans
• Coordinate with the front office on trade economics, amendments, and restructures

• 3+ years of experience in loan operations, closing, or fund administration
• Direct experience with BSLs and familiarity with LSTA market conventions
• Proficiency in Clear Par
• Strong understanding of credit agreements, agent communication, and settlement workflows
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple deals
• Experience at a fund, CLO manager, or prime broker preferred
