Job Description

Capital Solutions originates, structures, and places private debt and equity capital on behalf of corporate and sponsor‑backed clients. Within Capital Solutions, the Infrastructure & Structured Finance Pod raises private capital for clients in a full range of value‑add infrastructure subsectors, including digital infrastructure, power, energy, and transportation. The pod also executes asset‑based financings, project financings, and esoteric securitizations. Our team works on transactions that provide exposure to various financing products, techniques, and applications, such as project finance loans, equipment finance, rated and unrated ABS, second‑lien debt, unitranche debt, mezzanine debt, preferred and equity‑linked securities for a variety of uses, including growth capital, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), acquisition finance, refinancings, dividend recapitalizations, and special situations.

You

Will:
  • Work side‑by‑side with a talented, dedicated staff of senior professionals.
  • Assist with evaluating and structuring customized financing alternatives for clients.
  • Interact with a variety of investors, including commercial banks, infrastructure debt funds, hybrid capital funds, co‑investment funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, asset managers, and family offices.
  • Gain hands‑on transaction experience by playing an integral role on deal teams from initial pitch through closing.
  • Develop specialized finance and valuation skills relevant to raising capital, including rating agency methodologies for structured and project finance, while building a detailed understanding of key developments in the private capital markets.
  • Interact with a broad range of businesses across different value‑add infrastructure subsectors.
Basic Qualifications
  • Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree from a strong academic institution.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in similar roles at an investment bank, infrastructure sponsor, or credit fund, preferably in a role related to securitized products, ABS, project finance, or infrastructure debt.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, finance, financial analysis, and valuation.
  • Advanced knowledge of project finance and/or securitization financial modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven self‑starter.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on transaction experience in project finance, infrastructure debt, or structured finance/ABS.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating credit documents.
  • Experience with credit rating agencies.
  • Knowledge of some of the following infrastructure subsectors: digital infrastructure, power, energy, transportation.
Compensation and Benefits

Houlihan Lokey offers a competitive total compensation package, which may include discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s estimated salary range for this role is  250,000‑ 260,000. Actual salary at the time of hire may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. A competitive benefits package is also provided.
