Location: New York

Our client is a leading financial services firm with a dynamic and collaborative environment. The firm is experiencing continued growth and is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its tax team. This position offers broad exposure across corporate tax matters and the opportunity to partner closely with finance, accounting, and business leaders. This person will be responsible for supporting the company's federal and state income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provision processes.

This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting while contributing to tax planning initiatives and process improvements. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross‑functionally.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and review quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions, including supporting schedules and related disclosures.
  • Oversee federal, state, and local income tax compliance processes and coordinate with external service providers as needed.
  • Prepare and review tax work papers, returns, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with tax accounting matters, including uncertain tax positions and deferred tax analyses.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organization.
  • Support tax planning initiatives and various special projects.
  • Partner with accounting, finance, and business teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to information requests from taxing authorities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the tax function.
  • Participate in M&A and other strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate tax, with a combination of Big Four and industry experience viewed favorably.
  • Strong experience with federal and state income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provisions.
  • Experience with in financial services, asset management, banking, insurance, or related industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of One Source, Corp Tax, or other tax compliance software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams.
