Job Responsibilities
Director of Credit ensures all administrative duties and responsibilities are performed according to the departmental Standard Operating Procedures and Approved Internal Control Procedure guidelines.
License Level: This is a key level position and requires a key level license.
Essential Duties & Core Competencies- Oversees Credit limit approvals up to the signing limit listed in the Credit Authorizer’s limit matrix.
- Establishes and maintains an effective two-way communication link between all levels of the department.
- Directs the necessary research to determine whether credit may be extended.
- Creates credit scoring models to predict risks.
- Approves or rejects loan requests based on credibility and potential revenues and losses.
- Negotiates loan terms with customers.
- Monitors payments.
- Maintains records of credit applications.
- Ensures all lending procedures comply with regulations.
- Develops, reviews and updates company credit policies.
- Interfaces with the Cage, Player Development, VIP Services, Security, Surveillance, Slots, Revenue Audit, and Poker.
- Oversees and manages Credit Executives, reviewing generated reports, player files, and daily record‑keeping procedures.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of internal activities.
- Handles recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, counseling and other personnel matters appropriately.
- Facilitates and ensures performance reviews of all employees are completed yearly.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.

- Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to applicable statute, rules and regulations.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Five (5) years related experience with two (2) years Casino Gaming or hotel experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license through New York State and other regulatory requirements.
- General business and accounting knowledge.
- Broad knowledge of credit procedures and administration.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the casino industry.
- Organizational and communication skills.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications and other computer programs.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations.
- Ability to access and input information in the computer.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Must perform in an efficient and accurate manner daily.
- Demonstrates ability to coordinate operation of the Casino Credit Department.
Physical demands include talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting and using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; occasionally reaching, climbing or balancing; handling at least 15 pounds; prolonged sitting. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
Language Skills- Read, analyze and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
- Respond to inquiries from Team Members or guests.
- Fluency in English.
- Write detailed instructions and correspondence.
- Present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Compute complex calculations, probability and statistical inference.
- Apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Decipher reports and maintain reports upon request.
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Work well under pressure and deadlines.
Noise level typically moderate, loud in back‑of‑house areas. Must interact professionally with internal and external guests. Work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
CompensationPay Transparency: $131,330 – $159,140.
