The EY-Parthenon Strategy and Execution – Corporate and Growth Strategy – Financial Services Practice focuses on projects for C‑Suite or line‑of‑business executives across banking, capital markets, asset management, wealth management and insurance. Representative projects include corporate portfolio strategy, revenue growth and market expansion, strategic due diligence for wealth management, product strategy for retail crypto offerings, tokenization strategy for asset managers, and GenAI strategy for large financial services firms.
Yourkey responsibilities
Within EY-Parthenon’s Practice, Directors lead work streams and engagements, translate client needs into project tasks and deliverables, manage day‑to‑day problem‑solving, and serve as key liaisons between consulting teams, Senior Directors, Partners, and clients.
Teams address a range of assignments, including developing long‑term strategies, evaluating potential acquisitions, improving operational efficiencies, developing new marketing channels, reducing costs, and evaluating new business ventures.
Skills and attributes for success- Develop business strategies using tools such as market analysis, customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, and portfolio optimization.
- Review transaction rationale and/or deal documents to identify critical business issues and risks relating to a proposed transaction.
- Manage and motivate work streams and teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
- Develop, manage and mentor junior team members at the Associate, Senior Associate, and Consultant levels.
- A bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
- Experience managing business strategy development in banking, capital markets, payments, wealth management, and/or asset management sectors – from consulting work or direct industry experience.
- Experience managing M&A strategic diligence projects in complex environments.
- Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors, and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
- Proficient in English, including listening, understanding, reading and communicating effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Effective organization and time‑management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must reside in or be commutable to the office location for this position.
- Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary; in certain circumstances travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Excellent problem‑solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
