Accounts Receivable & Financial Administration
A mission-driven organization in Brooklyn is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support accounts receivable, financial administration, and day-to-day business office operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a highly collaborative, service-oriented environment that values accuracy, discretion, communication, and operational excellence.

This role will work on-site Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with hybrid flexibility during certain periods of the year. This is a full-time, permanent, year-round position.
Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing, payment tracking, payment plans, account updates, and related communications
- Maintain accurate financial records, agreements, account documentation, and supporting materials
- Serve as a key point of contact for sensitive financial matters while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate invoicing, timely account updates, and proper documentation
- Partner with finance leadership on reporting, reconciliations, documentation, and operational reviews
- Support data collection, financial reporting, and compliance-related submissions
- Assist with process improvement initiatives, database updates, and administrative projects within the business office
- Provide clear, thoughtful communication to internal stakeholders and external contacts regarding billing, account status, and financial documentation
- 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, financial operations, financial administration, or a related business office function
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Experience handling confidential financial information in a professional setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Comfort managing sensitive conversations with professionalism, patience, and discretion
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial systems, and database management tools
- Prior experience within education, nonprofit, membership-based, community-focused, or service-oriented environments is preferred
- Full-time position following a standard weekday schedule
- Collaborative office environment with occasional flexibility required during peak periods
- Role requires professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Salary: $80K – $95K + a strong benefits package which includes fully paid single employee benefits, a robust PTO package, hybrid flexibility during periods of the year, tuition reimbursement, and professional development.
