Location: New York

Job Summary

Responsible for reverifying applicable documentation on loans selected for Quality Control review. This position is hybrid and requires that the person be in the office 3 days per week.

Primary Duties
  • Reverify documentation in file used for loan approval (employment, income, bank statements, investment accounts, gifts, etc.).
  • Be proficient on third party quality control software used to perform QC Reverifications.
  • Order QC Field Reviews through Service 1st.
  • Send out Appraisal Letters to Appraisers to verify Appraisal validity.
  • Make Verbal Reverification Calls when necessary.
  • Process incoming reverification documentation (via mail, email, or e‑fax).
  • Participate in projects as deemed necessary by manager.
  • Ensure that all Non‑Public Personal Information entrusted to your care is protected by following all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • All written and verbal communications with outside providers are to be conducted in a polite, professional and business‑like manner.
  • Assist in other areas and perform other duties as may be assigned by the Manager.
Position Specifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years mortgage‑related experience.
  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree with one of the following majors: math, science, business administration, accounting, finance, economics. May substitute equivalent professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Encompass Loan Origination System.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Ability to interact effectively, with courtesy and respect towards fellow employees and the staff of other settlement service providers with whom we transact business while resolving concerns that arise during the QC process.
  • Ability to handle delicate situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, multi‑task, and excel in a fast‑paced deadline oriented environment.
  • Willingness & ability to work overtime when requested by management.
