Position:Director - Finance, Group Manager
Senior manager responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for the income statement and balance sheet of Global Equities Derivatives businesses. The role serves as a key advisor to the front‑office, risk, finance, and other stakeholders, providing insight and analysis of financial results.
Key Responsibilities- Accountable for accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reporting through robust substantiation.
- Manage a team of controllers supporting P&L validation processes and P&L attribution metrics for Volcker reporting.
- Review and sign off on key controls and SOX controls.
- Identify and report significant irregularities to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Review and approve new product and material business changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes leveraging AI technology.
- Proactively monitor operational issues pertaining to assigned trading portfolios.
- Act as liaison among Front Office, Information Technology, Risk, Finance, and other control functions.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Promotes a positive work environment encouraging teamwork, productivity, innovation, and analysis.
- Demonstrates resiliency and adaptability to change.
- Adheres to relevant compliance, professional standards, regulatory and bank policies.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Professional accounting or finance designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) or MBA is an asset.
- 10+ years of experience in Product Control, with specific experience in Equity Derivatives and Equity Financing within a large financial services organization.
- People management experience leading large teams.
- Perform sedentary work continuously.
