Job Overview – Director of Finance
Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000/year + bonus
Location:
Suffolk County, NY
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Atlantic Group is hiring a Director of Finance in Suffolk County, NY for our client, supporting financial planning, operational analysis, and full-cycle accounting within a service-based environment. This role focuses on budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting while driving strategic insights across the business. The Director of Finance will utilize Quick Books and advanced Excel to manage financial operations, support leadership decision-making, and improve overall financial performance.

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Cash Flow Management: Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts while monitoring working capital and liquidity.
• Operational Finance: Analyze margins, pricing, and profitability to identify opportunities for improvement.

  Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 7+ years of accounting and finance experience is required, with exposure to service-based or distribution environments preferred.
• Certification: CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, and operational finance within a growing business environment is required.

  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems such as Quick Books is required.
• Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
