Overview

This Vice President role is part of ING’s Wholesale Banking division, based in New York. The position leads Corporate Audit Services within the Global Internal Audit function (CAS) of ING Group, providing independent assurance services across the Americas region.

Responsibilities
  • Independently lead and/or contribute to the planning, execution, and reporting of (complex) audits.
  • Perform high‑quality audit work and supervise other audit team members.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations applicable to ING Americas.
  • Continuously monitor risks and control developments in audit areas.
  • Provide coaching and develop talent within the team.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Academic degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Audit or comparable certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, FRM, CFA, etc.) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Banking, Audit, or Internal Control.
  • Preferred IT audit background (Cyber, IT Operational Resilience, Infrastructure).

  • Ability to plan and execute complex audit assignments independently.
  • Manage a complex audit process within constraints, ensuring timely closure.
  • Think at both detail and high‑level perspectives and contribute to annual audit planning.
  • Work at all organizational levels, manage conflict, and operate under pressure.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Project management skills with a result‑oriented focus.
  • Organizational sensitivity and effective conflict management.
  • Team player with experience in multicultural teams.
Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $157,000 – $225,000 (base salary only; eligible for discretionary bonus).
