Overview:
The Financial Analyst serves as a key resource within the Budget Department, supporting accurate financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation activities. The role requires strong proficiency in budgeting systems, month‑end close processes, and Excel‑based analysis. The analyst works collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including hospital operations, while maintaining responsibility for data accuracy, problem‑solving, and transaction validation under general supervision.

• Prepare and maintain detailed budget spreadsheets and reports.
• Conduct month‑end close activities and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Perform data validation and reconcile financial transactions.
• Collaborate with hospital operations and other departments to gather data and support budgeting initiatives.
• Assist in the development and analysis of budget proposals.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and issues.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of budget procedures.
• Knowledge of third‑party cost reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong financial analysis and data validation skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Salary Range: $66,500 - $91,000 per year.

All roles require on‑site presence; employees should live within commuting distance to NYP. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
