Branch Banking Assistant Leader - Astoria NY

Job Summary

The Branch Banking Assistant Leader drives branch revenue growth, operational integrity, and client experience excellence, focusing on reputation within the community.

• Drive market growth of primary client relationships and achieve deposits, loans, and non‑interest income growth targets.
• Identify and provide the right client introductions to appropriate team members to meet growth targets and execute sales initiatives.
• Coach, develop, and mentor branch team members; support partner‑produced sales and marketing initiatives.
• Reinforce training, development, and coaching on mission alignment and effective community engagement.
• Assist the Branch Banking Leader with talent‑management duties: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and compliance.
• Deliver client engagement and education using available tools and systems.
• Foster a culture of exceptional client experience and commitment to the branch mission.
• Identify and mitigate reputational, regulatory, employee, and client risks; ensure adherence to bank policies and regulations.
• Meet operational excellence standards and perform special projects and additional duties as required.

• Education: High School or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC).
• Minimum Experience: 2+ years branch sales experience; experience with a variety of banking products; experience with banking risk management.
• Preferred: Undergraduate degree; 4+ years branch banking and/or financial institution sales experience; prior leadership role.

• Pay Range: $20.87 - $35.74 per hour.
