The OpportunityI am currently recruiting for a high-impact Strategic Finance Analyst to join the Corporate Treasury division of a premier, Fortune 100 financial institution. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Head of Capital Analysis, focusing on the execution of complex transactions that bolster the firm’s long‑term financial stability and balance sheet flexibility.
In this role, you will act as a central hub for strategic decision‑making, working shifts between M&A, Investment Management, and Enterprise Risk. You will be responsible for modeling the implications of major capital moves and optimizing how the firm utilizes its surplus assets.
Key Responsibilities- Transaction Analysis:
Drive financial modeling for strategic initiatives, including M&A, reinsurance opportunities, and capital market transactions. - Capital Optimization:
Develop and enhance frameworks to evaluate trade‑offs across multiple lenses, including statutory, GAAP, rating agency, and economic capital. - Portfolio Surveillance:
Monitor the performance and liquidity of the corporate investment account and seed capital ventures, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and return targets. - Strategic Reporting:
Provide senior leadership with data‑driven insights to inform resource allocation and surplus management. - Process Innovation:
Lead the transition toward automated modeling and advanced analytics to reduce manual data manipulation and increase the speed of insight.

Core Requirements- Experience:
2+ years of professional experience in Corporate Development, FP&A, Actuarial Science, Management Consulting, or Investment Management. - Technical
Skills:
Proven ability to perform financial optimization and complex analytical modeling.
Advanced credentials such as a CFA or ASA/FSA designation.
Deep understanding of Asset‑Liability Management (ALM), hedging, or reinsurance.
Familiarity with Life Insurance accounting (Statutory and GAAP) and Rating Agency capital models (e.g., S&P, AM Best).
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for executive audiences.
