Location: New York

Merchant Wealth Partners ("Merchant") is a rapidly growing, New York-based company that acquires equity interests in and partners with high-quality, growing wealth management companies ("Hub Partners"). Moreover, Merchant offers bespoke credit solutions tailored specifically to the wealth space via its affiliate, Merchant Credit Partners.

MWP was launched in 2017 by executives with deep domain expertise in wealth management and financial services stemming from Apollo, Goldman Sachs, United Capital, Skybridge Capital, Focus Financial, Dynasty Financial Partners, and Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments. The business has scaled to over 130 hub partners and ~$340B assets in ecosystem. Today, its RIA partners span 48 states and 5 countries. MWP has built a platform, brand, and ecosystem to facilitate growth and maximize value for its partners throughout their lifecycle.

Merchant is seeking an analytical, relationship-oriented professional to help drive value creation across its growing ecosystem of wealth management firms. This role will serve as a primary point of contact for our partner firms, developing a deep understanding of each business and working closely with leadership teams to support growth, identify challenges, and drive solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for partner firms, maintaining regular engagement with leadership teams and acting as a trusted representative of Merchant.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of each partner firm's financial performance, operations, organizational structure, strategic priorities, and key personnel.
  • Monitor business performance and partner health through financial, operational, and qualitative indicators; proactively identify risks, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Help partner leadership teams address complex business issues, evaluate strategic initiatives, and navigate operational, organizational, and growth-related decisions.
  • Coordinate and align Merchant resources to support partner firms, facilitiating problem‑solving, and drive execution on key initiatives.
  • Foster connectivity across the Merchant ecosystem by ensuring partner firms remain engaged with Merchant leadership, resources, and strategic opportunities.
  • Partner with the finance, investment, data/BI, and other internal teams to develop insights and support informed decision‑making across the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain financial models, performance analyses, and reporting frameworks to support portfolio oversight, budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
  • Prepare management reporting, dashboards, and analyses that provide visibility into partner performance and key business drivers across the ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in private equity portfolio operations, management consulting, strategic finance, investment banking, corporate development, wealth management, or a related field.
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities, with the ability to assess business performance and identify key drivers of growth and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executives, founders, and business owners.
  • Strong business judgment and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing stakeholders across diverse organizations.
  • Highly organized, self‑directed, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a proactive approach to execution and follow‑through.
  • Experience working with founder‑led businesses, RIAs, wealth management firms, professional services organizations, or private equity‑backed companies is preferred.
  • New York, South Florida or California location preferred; open to remote for the right candidate.
