Portfolio Monitoring Intern - Asset Management

Learn how portfolios are managed day to day

Work with our team on monitoring portfolios, preparing simple reports and supporting investment reviews.

• Maintain basic position and transaction tracking sheets across portfolios.
• Prepare recurring snapshots of holdings, cash balances and simple performance views in Excel or Sheets.
• Help collect and file factsheets, statements and other supporting documentation.
• Assist in drafting short portfolio notes that summarise key changes and upcoming actions.

• Exposure to how portfolios are monitored, documented and communicated to stakeholders.
• Stronger Excel skills around organising data, building simple tables and charts.
• Understanding of basic asset classes, risk considerations and reporting conventions.
• Potential pathway to future roles in asset management, research or advisory subject to performance.

• Undergraduate student with coursework in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or related fields.
• Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets; experience structuring basic tables and charts.
• Ability to follow checklists and document steps clearly.

• Careful and organised approach to handling data and files.
• Willingness to ask questions early and incorporate feedback.
• Genuine interest in how investment portfolios are constructed and monitored.
