Director, Middle Market Commercial Bank Relationship Manager

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
• Originate and pursue new business opportunities, acquiring new clients for the bank.
• Deliver a broad range of financial solutions, including credit, treasury management, deposit, and related banking services.
• Work closely with internal teams and product specialists to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
• Assess and mitigate financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks associated with client relationships.
• Establish a strong brand presence through industry networking and community involvement.
• Adhere to the strong Capital One culture and values and represent the firm with integrity in all situations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial, legal, operational, and reputational risks associated with commercial banking.
• Develop a strong professional network through active community engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of fostering deep relationships with key decision‑makers and developing new client relationships.

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or military experience; at least 5 years of experience with commercial credit and treasury management solutions.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting; completion of a formal credit training program; advanced knowledge of industry, market, and banking products; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
