Global Spread Products Financing and Securitization- Commercial Real Estate Conduit – Associate

The Associate or Vice President of Underwriting would work within our US Commercial Mortgage Back Securities (CMBS) group and be dedicated to a specific origination team that focuses on making loans in the US secured by all major asset classes (retail, industrial, multifamily, office, hotel, self‑storage, manufactured housing, etc.). The position would be based in New York City. The candidate would work with an originator on sizing new deals and serve as the deal advocate throughout the life cycle of the transaction including running the underwriting and due diligence process, preparing credit memos/asset summaries and completing financial analysis and market research.

Responsibilities would also include site inspections, coordinating with our internal appraisers and engineers, closing staff, outside counsel, and presenting transactions to senior managers, rating agencies and investors.

• Proficiency with Excel and preferably exposure to Argus.
• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to multitask.
• Strong Communication, Planning and Organization skills
• Unquestioned Commitment to ethical Decision‑making
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• 2 to 7 years of commercial real estate loan underwriting experience. Direct CMBS Underwriting experience would be a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
