Job DescriptionThe Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Depth & Scope (Responsibilities)- Process customer transactions, open new accounts, and educate customers on all banking products and services.
- Deliver end‑to‑end advice through building trust, providing consultative support, and offering proactive insights.
- Use TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and keep a positive customer experience.
- Identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, or refer to the appropriate team member or internal partner.
- Accurately complete everyday banking transactions on the teller line or platform while uncovering customer financial needs.
- Handle teller line and platform services, including opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit/credit card issues, Regulation E, mobile and online banking.
- Manage lead activities: creation and management of self‑generated leads, partner/retail referral leads, customer outreach, appointment setting, and lead prioritization.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of customer‑facing experience (volunteer, education, military, or equivalent).
- Strong customer service skills preferred.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Teller experience is preferred.
- Requires completion of Teller training and Part 1 of platform training upon hire.
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem‑solving, scheduling, and prioritization skills.
- Sound judgment and decision‐making ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Notary License is preferred.
