Director, Loan Syndicate, Americas
Responsible for developing and managing the syndicate and distribution capabilities of Loan Syndicate in the Americas as part of the implementation of the global Loan Syndicate strategy. The role involves actively participating in determining the Syndicate & Portfolio Management strategy, focusing on subscription lines distribution across industry verticals such as Commercial Real Estate, Leverage & Acquisition, and Project Finance. The Director ensures successful execution of syndication transactions from origination to closing while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and investors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage syndicate and distribution capabilities in the Americas.
- Underwrite, syndicate, and distribute syndicated loans within Fund Finance.
- Participate in determining Syndicate & Portfolio Management strategy to maximize shareholder value.
- Recommend appropriate underwriting positions and ensure fair valuation.
- Review structure, timing, pricing, and execute distribution strategies for primary syndicated loans.
- Develop and manage distribution channels to bank and non‑bank investors.
- Build and maintain relationships with loan investors.
- Provide loan market intelligence to global banking product origination verticals to enable origination and distribution.
- Distribute secondary loans for the Bank alongside the Portfolio Asset Management team.
- Manage all distribution processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of operational efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Produce and distribute marketing materials and communications to investors and clients related to Loan Syndicate products.
- Ensure syndication and distribution are conducted within the Group’s risk appetite and that reputational and credit risks are appropriately managed.
- Resolve audit and compliance issues in a timely manner and report risk management matters to relevant committees.

- Knowledge of Loan Underwriting (Subscription Facility, NAV Lines, Hybrid Lines)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in loan syndication or a related field with a proven track record of successful transactions.
- Strong understanding of loan markets, syndication processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
