Director, Middle Market Commercial Bank Relationship Manager
We are currently seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (RM) with Middle Market Commercial Banking expertise to join the firm’s Middle Market Commercial Banking Group. This position focuses on developing and maintaining client relationships, providing strategic financial guidance and solutions to clients. A candidate in this role will act as the primary point of contact for clients, introducing them to the bank's financial products and services and ensuring that the bank meets all of their operational and servicing needs.
This candidate will work independently and in collaboration with internal teams to deliver customized solutions and drive business growth and new client acquisition.
- For-profit and not-for-profit middle market companies located in Long Island, New York City and New Jersey.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Originate and pursue new business opportunities, acquiring new clients for the bank.
- Deliver a broad range of financial solutions, including credit, treasury management, deposit, and related banking services.
- Work closely with internal teams and product specialists to deliver integrated solutions to clients.
- Assess and mitigate financial, operational, legal, and reputational risks associated with client relationships.
- Establish a strong brand presence through industry networking and community involvement.
- Adhere to the strong Capital One culture and values and represent the firm with integrity in all situations.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial, legal, operational, and reputational risks associated with commercial banking.
- Develop a strong professional network through active community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of fostering deep relationships with key decision‑makers and developing new client relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 5 years of experience with commercial credit and treasury management solutions
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting
- Completion of a formal credit training program
- Advanced knowledge of industry, market, and banking products
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Jericho, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for MMB Relationship Manager IV
New York, NY: $224,800 - $256,500 for MMB Relationship Manager IV
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
