Responsibilities
Lead senior client coverage across Caribbean and Central America (CCA); drive capital markets funding; execute global markets solutions transactions and deliver markets leadership. Develop relationships and financial results in the English-speaking Caribbean with C suite teams at government, Financial Institutions, and corporate clients. Develop compliance-based relationships with regulators in Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica and other English Caribbean Countries including Central Banks, SECs, Stock Exchanges.
Provide region specific market color to stakeholders around political cycles, IMF Programs, & rating agency considerations. Analyze financial or operational performance of companies facing financial difficulties to identify solutions and prepare plans of action for investment. Employ financial models to develop solutions or to assess financial or capital impact of transactions. Confer with clients to restructure, refinance, or raise new debt.
Evaluate client capital needs; assess market conditions to inform transaction structuring. Create, book and use financial systems, Finance Workstation, TPS Workstation, DPAddins, EQRMS & Bloomberg to capture risk positions, measure revenue generation, & facilitate record keeping. Leverage Capital Markets & Private Credit Markets knowledge to diversify sources of funding with understanding of liquidity & pricing models that reflect specific axes with limited secondary markets, and risk weights & counter party classifications.
Apply understanding of regulatory landscape and accounting policies within CCA; execute transactions against these frameworks. Manage sanctions, AML & third-party risk in high exposure CCA jurisdictions, including indirect sanctions risk, offshore financials centers & CFATF framework. Work with local clients & investor partners. Analyze regional macroeconomic trends, fiscal dynamics, political risk, FX regimes & capital controls in the region. Manage regional reputational, country and counter party risk.
Work with local counsel firms in Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and Bahamas to establish legal opinions in country as per local regulations. Develop relationships with new market Guyana. Represent the region age global markets relationship among Corporates, Governments, Central Banks, Commercial Banks, Pension funds, Insurance companies and Mutual Funds to understand their market needs in derivatives. Provide Interest Rate, Credit, Foreign Exchange and Commodity solutions to corporates, public sector and financial institutions across financing, investing and hedging in CCA region.
Manage existing Markets transaction portfolios. Prepare and analyze derivative pricing models with development and intermediation of illiquid XCCYs bespoke to CCA. Execute trades on behalf of clients. Manage transaction documentation including trade confirmations, legal agreements, compliance records. Expand institutional sales in LATAM markets, including CCA. Develop sales strategy to grow market and wallet. Refine and implement sales and marketing strategies to strengthen market presence and maximize associated revenues.
Collaborate to establish a marketing plan, market penetration strategy, and revenue goals. Oversee strategic positioning, closing of transactions, and origination and distribution of debt capital market transactions to Corporates, Public Sector financial institution clients. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Management Studies, Finance, Economics, Business or related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Salesperson, Management Associate or related position involving institutional investor sales in the Caribbean and Central America (CCA) regions. 8 years of experience must include:
Investment and financial analysis;
Basel regulations;
Finance Workstation, E-Dealer Workstation, DPAddins, EQRMS, Bloomberg;
