The Institutional Equity Derivatives Sales Team is looking for a financial professional capable of working in a team environment to learn and build a business in Equity Derivatives. The clients are institutional investors. Currently BMO has a focus on Insurance Companies (Super Vertical) and Asset Managers. And the scope of clients can/will broaden to Pensions, Endowments, Foundations and Hedge funds. The products we trade are over the counter Equity Options, Swaps and Equity Linked Notes.
At first, the team member will assist by performing several key functions such as formatting client pricing requests into BMO standard form (RFPs), generating summary deal terms upon the completion of a transaction (Executions), generating reports and term sheets to clients summarizing deals (Term Sheets), researching client positions and strategies using publicly available information, and interacting with clients during the pricing and execution of transactions.
Once the team member has become proficient with the products and the pricing process they will work more directly with clients on day-to-day hedging needs.
Candidates should be capable of working in a team environment, have a sense of urgency, attention to detail and a high sense of personal responsibility. A working knowledge of Excel, coding, the financial markets and of derivatives is also used for this role.
Qualifications- Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree in Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics
- Working knowledge of financial markets with previous exposure to the financial markets and/or analysis gained through a combination of work and educational qualifications is required.
- Basic understanding of trading or sales procedures and broader regulatory and financial concepts.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required or attained within 3 months.
- Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.

The salary range for this role is $150,000 up to $200,000 USD (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements).

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
